Ingredients
Dulce de Leche
- 200ml Sweetened Condensed Milk
Alfajores
- 250g Unsalted Butter
- 150g All Purpose Flour
- 225g Cornstarch
- 50g Sugar
Steps
Dulce de Leche
- Remove label on the condensed milk
- Put the condensed milk in a large pot
- Cover the condensed milk with water (should be always submerged, or it may explode)
- Simmer with low heat for 3 hours after water comes to boil (the longer you simmer, the darker Dulce de leche you will get)
Alfajores
- Mix the cooled butter with sugar
- Sift in cornstarch and flour
- Knead to form a dough
- Roll the dough between two sheets of parchement paper to 1 cm thick
- Cut out rounds using 6 cm cookie cutter
- Bake for 10 minutes in 180C
